The Town of Wayne in cooperation with 10 other local municipalities and Washington County received a grant from the State of Wisconsin to develop our Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan. 

 

Please see the information below regarding a series of SMART GROWTH PLANNING meetings the Town of Wayne will be involved in over the next few years.  Detailed information about the process is available on the Washington County Web Site.

NOTICE OF RECURRING MEETINGS FOR SMART GROWTH PLANNING

 

Members of the Town Board and Planning Commission will meet with members of the Work Groups and Committees established by Washington County under the terms and conditions of our Smart Growth Planning agreement with these representatives on a recurring schedule for approximately three years beginning June 2005 according to the following schedule:

First Wednesday of the Month: Agricultural, Cultural and Natural Resources Element Work Group                    Designated Member: Jon Etta

Second Wednesday of the Month:        Utilities and Community Facilities, Economic Development and Housing Element Work Group

                                                            Designated Member:     Christian T Kuehn

Fourth Monday of the Month:               Land Use Element and Transportation Element Work Group     Designated Member: Mike Samann

                                                            Note:    Kieth Kriewaldt is a designee of the Kewaskum School District and will also represent the Town of Wayne

Fourth Wednesday of the Month:          Multi-Jurisdictional Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (MCPAC)             Designated Member: Leander Herriges

                                                            Note: Chairman of the work groups are also members of this committee

 

The agendas for these meetings will be prepared and posted by responsible units of Washington County.  It is possible a quorum of members of other governmental bodies of the Town of Wayne may be in attendance at these meetings to gather information:  no action will be taken by any other governmental body at this meeting other than the governmental body specifically referred to in this notice.

Results of the Survey of Town Residents regarding land use issues:

            We have received the data from the vendor.  The files are too large to upload to the web site.  If you are a resident of the town or own property in the town, send us email we will email the file to you, or provide a cd.

            The survey is also available in the reference section of the West Bend and Kewaskum Public Libraries
