 Welcome to the Milwaukee Pius XI Lady Popes Basketball web site.

 Pius defeats Waukesha South
 The Lady Popes were on the road to take on the Blackshirts from Waukesha South on Friday night.
 Pius took a quick 6-0 lead, but South battled back and took the lead in the second quarter.  After a Pius
 timeout, the Lady Popes took control of the game and had a 9 point lead at the half and never looked back
 as they defeated South 59-42.  The Junior Varsity defeated South 63-24 and the Freshman also won 42-9.  Pius
 will be on the road again on Tuesday as they travel to Mukwonago.  The Freshman and Junior Varsity both
 play at 5:45 and the Varsity is set for 7:30.

 Memorial make up date announced
 The game against Catholic Memorial will be made up on January 30th.

 Game against Memorial Cancelled
 The game against Catholic Memorial for today has been cancelled due to the snow and rain.  A make up
 date will be announced.

 Pius defeats North
 The Lady Popes started conference play on the road against the Waukesha North Northstars.  Pius started
 out slow, but in the second half took the game over and won 51-30.  The Junior Varsity defeated the Northstars
 55-25 and the Freshman also won 39-24 to earn the road sweep.  Pius will be at home on Tuesday to take on
 Catholic Memorial.  Freshman at 4:15, Junior Varsity at 5:45 and Varsity at 7:30.

 Pius drops tough one to DSHA
 The Lady Popes took on DSHA on Tuesday evening and lost 44-43.  Pius had the lead in the first half but
 DSHA just kept chipping away and finally took the lead in the 4th quarter.  Pius had a chance at the end
 but the last second shot fell short.  The Junior Varsity fell to DSHA 35-31, while the Freshman defeated the
 Dasher 37-31.  Pius will now open up Conference play this Friday against Waukesha North.  The games
 will be at North, with Freshman set to tip off at 4:15, Junior Varsity at 5:45 and Varsity at 7:30.

 Pius Wins Opener vs. Racine St. Catherine's
 The Lady Popes went on the road to start the season and defeated the Angels of Racine
 St. Catherine, 67-21.  Pius started slow but after a few minutes they turned up the pressure
 and raced out to a 26-5 lead after the first quarter.  At half they had a 40-10 lead and never
 back.  In earlier action, the Junior Varsity won 48-17 and the Freshman won 43-25.  Pius
 takes on Divine Savior Holy Angels on Tuesday evening.  The Freshman tip off at 4:15 with
 the Junior Varsity to follow.  Varsity is scheduled for 7:30. 

 Games to start this week
 The Lady Popes will begin their season this week.  The Junior Varsity will be taking on Slinger on
 Wednesday November 28th at 7:00.  The game will be at Pius.  On Saturday December 1st, all 3 levels
 will travel to take on Racine St. Catherine's.  The Freshman tip off at 4:30, Junior Varsity at 5:45 and Varsity
 at 7:30.

 Try outs for the 2007-2008 teams will start on Monday November 12th.
