Slonjo's first visit to the program was extremely helpful. After the show, he criticized our obvious lack of preparedness. Evidently, he wasn't down with our fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants attitude. This constructive criticism has led to some changes in our modus operandi. Now we study our material for at least 5 minutes before we record.
We also read a letter by a girl named Jessica, who, as it turned out, later created her own show. Check out The Flying Dirt on Atheist Network Radio.
abraXas had his own story about his daughter and her theistic mother. It's funny, she doesn't believe in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, but the idea of an invisible man living in an invisible house and sitting on an invisible throne doesn't seem to raise her doubt. Go figure...
This is also the show in which we met Sapient, the human cyclone himself. He called us up to tell us about his own experiences with theism in relation to his son. It's funny how the story of Noah can seem so innocuous until you realize that millions of people were drowned. Through this meeting, Sapient became a good friend of ours, and he visited the show quite often in the months that followed. I don't know where Beware Of God! would be without him. He's been an inspiration and an amazing source of strength ever since.
The Musikal Interlewdz for this show were Superstitious, by Stevie Wonder, and Godless, by UPO.
