Setup - Dialup
Here are the instructions for setting up dialup on your computer. If you have any questions or would rather have someone walk you through the settings please do not hesitate to call us at 1-800-638-9879 we are happy to help.
Dialup setup Windows XP, Vista1. Open Internet Explorer click tools and Internet options. (If you can not see the tools menu click the alt key on your keyboard it should pop up at the top) 2. Click the tab called "connections" 3. Click the button on the right called "add" 4. Click setup a new connection. 5. Select "dialup connection" 6. Locate the local phone number you need to use to dial into below. Put that phone number in the "Dial up phone number" box on this page. Do not use a 1 or area code. 7. Add your username and password. 8. Change the connection name to NetwurX 9. Click connect. (Make sure your computer is plugged into the phone line before doing so!)
MAC Dialup1. Click on your Apple menu in the top-left corner of the window. Then select System Preferences. 3. The drop-down menu next to Location should say Automatic. If you get a pop-up window that asks you to Name Your Location, type in Netwurx and click OK. - Make sure Internal Modem is selected next to Configure. 4. In the area beneath the TCP/IP tab, Using PPP should be selected in the drop-down menu next to Configure. Leave these fields blank. - Click the PPP tab near the top. 5. Enter the following information: 6. Ensure that the checkbox next to Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications is checked. - Click the OK, and then click the Proxies tab at the top 7. Leave everything unchecked and blank. If you have made any changes click the Save button in the lower-right corner of the window.
